Your journey begins with a focus on understanding.
The first step is to get to know you. During your initial appointment, you will meet with one of our caring, culturally sensitive therapists who will genuinely listen to your story. This session is intended to be a safe, open, and accepting environment in which you can share your ideas, challenges, and goals without being judged.
Together, we’ll investigate important questions such as:
- What motivated you to seek therapy?
- What difficulties or obstacles are you now facing?
- What are your own goals for enhancing your mental health and well-being?
- Have you have any prior therapeutic experiences?
- If so, what tactics worked for you and which did not?
02 - Personalized Plan
Your therapy, your way.
Once we’ve gotten in touch with you, we’ll collaborate with you to create a specific therapy plan. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, it is a plan tailored to your individual issues, goals, and level of comfort.
The therapy plan comprises the following:
- You will determine the frequency and format of your sessions (weekly, biweekly, or as needed).
- Session modes include video calls, phone calls, and a hybrid method.
- We will recommend evidence-based therapies that meet your needs.
- If cultural or familial issues are significant, we may employ family systems therapy or culturally sensitive approaches to help you navigate such encounters.
- Finally, we’ll set reasonable and attainable goals together, such as reducing stress, increasing self-esteem, dealing with homesickness, and building stronger relationships.
03 - Mental Empowerment
Develop resilience and thrive.
Therapy is more than simply treating urgent issues; it is also about providing you with the tools and skills you need to handle life’s ups and downs long after our sessions have ended. Finding Pegah's therapy service was like finding a piece of home abroad. As an Iranian student in Boston, I've struggled with the cultural adjustments and the loneliness of being away from my family. Pegah's understanding of Iranian norms and the pressures we face provided a safe space where I could speak. She helped me navigate through my feelings of alienation and supported me during my first Nowruz away from home. Her sessions have truly been 'Here to Listen, Here to Heal.'

I've been living in Australia for over two years, and the cultural divide was taking its toll on me. Pegah exactly knew what I needed. Her focus on helping Iranians abroad was evident from the start; she understood the complex emotions tied to living between two cultures. The therapy sessions in Farsi allowed me to express myself freely, which was therapeutic in itself. Pegah addressed my issues with homesickness, family expectations, and even workplace dynamics with such empathy and expertise. Through the sessions I learned to accept my bicultural identity, thanks to her.

Moving to Europe for work was a dream come true, but it came with its set of challenges, especially concerning my mental health. Pegah's therapy sessions have been a revelation. She not only speaks my language but understands the unique challenges Iranians face abroad. Her approach to dealing with my pre-migration trauma and post-migration adjustment has been life-changing. Pegah's commitment to breaking the stigma around mental health in the Iranian community has also encouraged me to continue therapy without hesitation. I truly appreciate her efforts to make therapy accessible and stigma-free for us.
